Juvéderm
Juvéderm offers a selection of fillers designed to target specific areas on the face. Voluma XC, for example, is manufactured to aid the client in replenishing the youthful, natural-looking contours of their cheeks. It is said to also help smooth marionette lines and nasolabial folds. There are other products in their collection that target the lips, addressing elements such as volume and softening lines present in this area.
Juvéderm’s main dermal filler ingredient consists of hyaluronic acid, also known simply as HA. Most fillers containing hyaluronic acid, including a select number in Juvéderm’s own range, are reported to contain a local anesthetic called lidocaine. Though not completely painless, this primary procedure helps to reduce any discomfort that may be experienced during and after the treatment.
Restylane
Restylane, like Juvéderm, boasts a range of hyaluronic acid fillers, aimed at producing more natural results. Though HA is predominantly used to correct moderate facial imperfections, some products in their line including Restylane and Restylane-L are specifically made for mid-to-deep injections to treat moderate to severe folds and wrinkles. Other components of the range are aimed at adding volume to the lips, cheeks and hands. It is said that there is a chance of Restylane’s fillers stimulating the production of natural collagen, resulting in the possibility that fewer treatments are required or that less filler is needed during the following procedures.
Restylane is known to sometimes be used alongside other facial fillers such as Botox to not only extend the effects of the procedure and product, but also enhance the end results.
Sculptra Aesthetic
Sculptra Aesthetic was initially geared towards patients suffering from HIV, resulting in a loss of facial volume. Following this, its use for cosmetic treatments has since been approved for anyone who wishes to restore areas of the face that require cosmetic attention. Due to its primary objective being the restoration of facial structure, Sculptra Aesthetic is not used to treat the lip or the eye area. Sculptra’s active ingredient is the synthetic compound poly-L-lactic acid which prompts the production of new collagen. Because of this, it does normally require several treatments over a number of weeks in order to achieve the best results. This can vary depending on the extent of the patient’s facial aging.
RADIESSE
RADIESSE is used to target problem areas such as nasolabial folds and facial creases. It is also utilized to add volume to the cheeks. Its use is typically restricted to these areas, and is not used to treat the lips. Products of RADIESSE include a class of mineral known as calcium hydroxylapatite, which they contain microspheres of, the particles of which are suspended in a solution that mimics a thick gel. Calcium hydroxylapatite is present in human bones and, when injected as a filler, helps to restore lost volume. Due to the fact that this filler’s main mineral is already a constituent found in the human body, it is able to be absorbed. After this process has taken place, the body’s own collagen is left in its stead.
Ellansé
Composed of collagen-boosting components, Ellansé’s fillers are reported to provide short-term and long-term benefits. Though you may see immediate, visible effects of the treatment, the full benefits of Ellansé is designed to build up gradually. Due to the ingredients stimulating the skin’s natural production of collagen over time, Ellansé aids in helping to restore the skin’s appearance following treatment both beneath its surface and above.
Micropsheres of PolyCaproLactone (PCL) and Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) in a carrier gel suspension are what Ellansé is comprised of. The CMC gel, the carrier that suspends the PCL, is derived from non-animal, bacterial or human origins.
BELOTERO BALANCE
Able to merge with skin tissue, BELOTERO BALANCE consists of hyaluronic acid and acts on smoothing and reducing the appearance of fine lines, predominantly those that range from moderate to severe. These include vertical lines that are based around the lips.
The flexibility of the gel that BELOTERO BALANCE is made of enables it to seamlessly integrate with the skin, providing a natural look and finish. Unlike Botox, normal facial movements are able to be achieved due to this.
